Quantitative 4NT

A direct jump to 4NT from 1NT or 2NT openings or  a from a  2NT Baron response to 4NT is a quantitative NF raise showing:

Interest in a possible NT slam
A  certain combined HCP count of 30-31 HCP

It asks partner to consider 6 if in possession of some additional values or length
To PASS without any additional values

If minded for 6NT responder can bid Bid 6NT directly or 5NT invitationally

One can investigate further showing controls in the normal RKC way OR Beta's preferred way by showwing italian controls as follows:

5 2
5 3
5 4  
5 5+

A quantitative 4NT can be passed
Equally 6N can be directly bid but showing italian controls is preferred. Direct is more often the case only with a  quality side suit capable of producing 5+ tricks
